Company says it will vigorously defend claim by pension fund that its stock price was kept artificially high CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity company behind July’s mass computer outage around the world, has been issued with an investor lawsuit accusing it of defrauding investors. The class action suit, filed in Texas by Plymouth County Retirement Association, a pension fund, argues that CrowdStrike misled investors by attesting that the company’s technology was “validated, tested and certified”. Widespread outage linked to Windows workstations has affected major companies, including the ABC and Sky News Australia Businesses including banks, airlines, telecommunications companies, TV and radio broadcasters, and supermarkets have been taken offline after blue screen of death error screens were seen on Windows workstations across the globe. Users in Australia began reporting issues early on Friday afternoon AEST, stating they’d been locked out of their workstations. Australian banking apps and supermarket systems were also affected.
